About the book

Meet Frost. Every winter he comes from the icy North to the village of Pinebrook with a sack of snowflakes, a paintbrush made of ice, and lots and lots of glass. He nips at noses, piles up snowdrifts, and sees everything that happens in the snow. Now he wants to tell your child about it.

In Pinebrook, small choices make the winter warmer. Three friends dig a path through a blizzard for a neighbor who lives alone. Lily follows a frosty paw print and finds a kitten who has never had a home. Ben and Dylan turn their friend Ryan into a snowman who says hello to everyone who walks by. Frost speaks straight to the listener as "little one," so each story feels like a secret shared at bedtime.

Ten stories with full-color watercolor illustrations, two maze pages and an easy pinecone bird feeder to make with a grown-up. For ages 4 to 8, and two of the stories are set on Christmas Eve.
