Who we are

Mountain Mill Editorial is an independent publisher and is responsible for the personal data described here. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

What we collect and why

Free downloads. When you ask for a free download (for example the Moon Kids activity pack), we collect your first name, your email address and your answers to the form's check boxes. We use them to send you the download you asked for. We only send other emails (news about our books and free activities) if you tick the optional box that asks for them, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Visits. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

Links to Amazon. Links to our books go through mountain-mill.com/go/, which sends you to the Amazon store for your country. For each click we record the book, the country, the Amazon store, the website you came from (its domain only) and any campaign tags in the link. We do not use cookies for this and cannot identify you from it.

Who processes your data

Our email list is run by Kit (kit.com, based in the United States), which stores your name and email address and sends our emails. The site is hosted by Netlify and served through Cloudflare. These companies process data on our behalf, under their own data processing terms, and may store it outside your country.

We never sell your data or share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

If you never confirm your email address, you are not added to our list. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you; Kit keeps your address marked as unsubscribed so that you are not emailed again. If you want your data erased completely, write to us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also write to us at any time to see, correct or delete your data, or to withdraw your consent. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Our activity pages are made for children, but our sign-up forms are only for parents, teachers and caregivers aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has signed up, write to us and we will delete the data.
